Clinical Application Support Engineer (Ohio Remote)

Support and administer clinical applications for ExactCare’s pharmacy care management operations. Troubleshoot healthcare systems, manage user access, and assist internal and external users remotely.

Description

  • Maintain and administer clinical applications, including troubleshooting and triage
  • Resolve application issues for internal and external users
  • Analyze reported application problems and determine appropriate triage paths
  • Create, terminate, and modify user access in line with established procedures
  • Escalate incidents through defined management processes and communicate outages or service announcements
  • Track open requests through resolution
  • Monitor applications and perform maintenance to reduce outages and productivity disruptions
  • Coordinate with client account and client success teams on approvals, processes, recurring trends, and issues
  • Participate in meetings, demonstrations, and collaborative work that align support and development goals
  • Assess applications and suggest improvements or upgrades
  • Report issue trends, recurring problems, and proposed solutions to management
  • Maintain system standards, documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Record issues and troubleshooting activities for escalation, review, and audit needs
  • Guide users on recommendations and practices that help them use applications effectively
  • Create, update, and close incidents in ticketing systems
  • Provide support for Windows-based Active Directory tasks
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours incident coverage
  • Share process improvement observations and feedback with the direct manager

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in a healthcare help desk or support environment
  • Proficiency with healthcare software, terminology, and EMR or EHR systems
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and/or Statuspage
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office 2013, 2016, or 365
  • Experience supporting remote applications such as LogMeIn and RDP
  • Demonstrated subject-matter-expert support for at least one application
  • Knowledge of IT service management and change management methodologies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Experience supporting nontechnical personnel
  • Ability to adapt to change, prioritize multiple issues, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continue developing technical skills
  • Ability to work remotely and participate in an on-call rotation one week per month
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend work based on delivery deadlines
