Federal Employee Insurance Customer Service Agent

Remote customer service role assisting federal employees with insurance benefits and enrollment questions. Responsibilities include call handling, database updates, follow-up, and outbound surveys for TP Gov Services.

Description

  • Respond to customer questions courteously and professionally while following client-specific service guidelines
  • Record each customer inquiry accurately in the database
  • Review customer details and correct or update information when needed
  • Listen attentively and identify opportunities to share relevant additional information
  • Contact callers again when follow-up is required
  • Use contact center performance data to support service improvements
  • Complete outbound surveys to collect client-specific information
  • Work all assigned shifts and scheduled hours

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous call center or customer service experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Advanced computer and navigation skills, including work with dual monitors, multiple browser tabs, and database searches
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods
  • Webcam required during training and production work
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening
  • Successful completion of pre-employment criteria testing and an internet speed test
  • A private, enclosed, secure workspace without distractions
  • Non-cellular high-speed home internet, such as fiber, DSL, or cable modem service
  • Ability to meet the program's minimum internet speed standards
  • Hotspot, satellite, and wireless internet services are not permitted
  • Attendance at every scheduled training session is required
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential to complete training
