Bank of America Account Management Operations Representative Merrill Onboarding and Maintenance

Support Merrill brokerage account openings and maintenance by reviewing documentation, processing updates, and assisting clients and internal partners. Manage high-volume, risk-aware operational work within established procedures.

Description

  • Support account creation, onboarding, and maintenance in line with established procedures.
  • Deliver accurate operational support and responsive service to internal partners and external clients.
  • Review Merrill branch account requests and documentation for completeness.
  • Validate requirements, secure approvals or exceptions, and process account openings and maintenance changes.
  • Answer client inquiries through multiple channels, provide status updates, and request decisions or missing requirements.
  • Investigate processing errors, resolve routine exceptions, and carry out corrective actions.
  • Recognize operational issues and escalate risk concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Manage inbound calls, sort and distribute mail, maintain records, and retain required evidence.
  • Understand end-to-end workflows, controls, risks, and upstream or downstream effects.
  • Complete high-volume workloads within a 48-hour timeframe.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience supporting brokerage accounts or clients in operations, client service, customer service, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume personal caseload while consistently meeting 48-hour turnaround targets.
  • Sound judgment within established guidelines, including routine exception resolution, risk awareness, and appropriate escalation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for phone and email correspondence with internal partners.
  • Availability to work flexibly between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Experience reviewing legal or tax documentation is preferred.
  • Experience with Service Request Portal (SRP) is preferred.
  • Skills in account management, customer and client service, written and verbal communication, research, detail orientation, collaboration, prioritization, information organization, results focus, and numerical reasoning.
