Business Process Analyst Client Onboarding at PwC Sydney
PwC Australia is seeking a Business Process Analyst to improve end-to-end client onboarding in Sydney. The role covers workflow analysis, requirements definition, process redesign and automation opportunities across risk and operations.
Description
- Lead discovery and map current-state client onboarding processes end to end
- Investigate root causes, duplicate data capture, unnecessary reviews, hand-offs and control gaps
- Rank redesign opportunities according to value, effort and risk
- Create future-state processes, user journeys and onboarding pathways
- Define data capture, mapping, business rules and reporting needs
- Convert process designs into business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Identify automation and AI opportunities for the Automation & Agentification Squad backlog
- Support pilots, process testing and business validation activities
- Develop operating procedures, process documentation and transition materials
- Organise and lead workshops, interviews and walkthroughs
- Build effective relationships with client-facing, risk, compliance and operations stakeholders
- Work with change managers to support adoption
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end process optimisation or business process re-engineering in complex, multi-stakeholder organisations
- Experience in professional services or financial services is preferred
- Strong capability in current- and future-state process mapping, including BPMN, swimlanes, value streams and customer journeys
- Applied knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or comparable improvement methods
- Experience with client onboarding and regulated risk processes, including AML/CTF, KYC, CDD, conflicts and independence
- Ability to assess process performance and build evidence-based cases for change using quantitative and qualitative information
- Strong requirements elicitation and backlog refinement skills, including business rules, data mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience uncovering automation and AI opportunities and collaborating with technology teams
- Effective facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to work across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments
- Proficiency with Visio, Miro, Microsoft Whiteboard and Jira
- Experience with process mining tools such as Signavio or Celonis, or CRM and workflow platforms such as Salesforce, is highly regarded
