Bilingual Patient Care Navigator (Fixed-Term) – Canada Remote

Provide bilingual patient support remotely across Canada, coordinating enrollment, reimbursement, therapy access, and ongoing services for pharmaceutical patient support programs in Quebec. Work with patients, physicians, insurers, pharmacies, and care providers to resolve access issues and maintain continuity of care.

Description

  • Oversee patient enrollment, reimbursement activities, and service coordination within the Patient Support Program
  • Serve as the primary contact for patient-related program matters
  • Enroll patients promptly in the Patient Support Program
  • Deliver inbound and outbound telephone support, including maintenance and adherence calls
  • Work with patients, insurers, and physicians to secure documentation for maximum reimbursement coverage
  • Research public and private insurers and assist with employer escalations
  • Review patient charts, prior therapies, and test results to help physicians prepare public or private coverage documentation
  • Explain therapy guidelines and educate patients and physicians about the program
  • Gather information and assess patients' financial eligibility
  • Coordinate with physician offices, pharmacies, infusion or injection providers, and other parties to arrange services and resolve issues
  • Coordinate and monitor patient services to support rapid, ongoing therapy access
  • Check, analyze, and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness
  • Meet case-management service standards, including telephone answer rates, contact initiation times, adverse-event reporting, and program KPIs
  • Keep patient and clinic records accurate in the CRM system
  • Work closely with internal patient support teams
  • Recognize coverage barriers and escalate relevant details to the PSP Supervisor
  • Continue follow-up and advocacy until coverage decisions are received
  • Protect the confidentiality of patient, client, and corporate information
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Manager

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and healthcare experience are considered assets
  • Fluency in English and French is required
  • Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, appeals, support, and consultation is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with public and private reimbursement structures, systems, and processes is considered an asset
  • Ability to work from home with a quiet, private home office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability, including the interpretation of regulations and legislation
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
