Customer Service Associate - MDLIVE Remote in Tennessee

Provide remote customer service for MDLIVE telehealth patients in Tennessee, handling calls, chats, registrations, billing, technical support, and health-service questions.

Description

  • Respond to incoming patient calls and chats
  • Support registrations, consultations, prescription and pharmacy concerns, billing, collections, technical support, and navigation
  • Handle approximately 40–50 calls and chats each day
  • Manage consecutive calls or concurrent chats across multiple applications and screens
  • Use active listening to deliver patient-focused outcomes
  • Record patient profile details and update relevant medical history
  • Resolve complaints through independent problem-solving, available resources, and one-call resolution
  • Meet or exceed call center metrics while providing accurate, courteous, and professional information
  • Operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused, metrics-driven virtual healthcare environment
  • Follow applicable laws, policies, and HIPAA requirements
  • Build patient relationships while supporting satisfaction, effectiveness, proficiency, and quality
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and improve the patient experience
  • Complete other assigned duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of customer service experience; call center experience is preferred
  • A dedicated, distraction-free workspace
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • An empathetic approach to supporting patients with varied needs
  • Ability to build teamwork and partnerships across functional departments
  • Effective problem-solving skills and creative thinking
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Strong attention to detail and typing speed of at least 25 words per minute
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Cable broadband or fiber-optic internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds
  • Availability for 100% attendance during six weeks of training and the first 90 days of employment
  • Ability to work from home in Tennessee
