Technical Support Engineer II (B&T) - Beirut Hybrid

Provide Tier 2 technical support for SaaS applications, integrations, and infrastructure across Aspire Software’s software companies. Diagnose incidents, identify evidence-based solutions, and guide Engineering toward effective fixes.

Description

  • Investigate Tier 1 escalations using logs, data, configuration, HTTP traffic, and other technical evidence
  • Reproduce issues in test or staging environments and isolate the conditions that trigger them
  • Assess probable root causes spanning software defects, configuration, data, infrastructure, integrations, and end-user issues
  • Troubleshoot integrations, APIs, data imports and exports, and scheduled jobs
  • Identify and communicate workarounds or interim fixes while underlying issues are being resolved
  • Manage the Tier 2 support queue based on priority, severity, customer impact, and SLA commitments
  • Detect wider incidents, initiate the major-incident process, and communicate their customer impact
  • Escalate issues to Engineering, DevOps, or Technical Operations with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and impact details
  • Validate fixes and workarounds, record investigation results, and participate in post-incident reviews
  • Mentor Tier 1 support staff and partner with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Technical Operations, Product Management, Project Management, and implementation teams
  • Review support trends and recurring problems to support problem-management activities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge-base content, runbooks, and troubleshooting documentation
  • Propose improvements to products, configurations, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and automation
  • Correlate application, IIS, and Azure logs; write read-only SQL queries; inspect HTTP traffic; navigate ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC applications; review configurations and dependencies; and use REST APIs, Git, Azure resources, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, PowerShell, and diagnostic tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered
  • At least two years of application development or technical support experience with web-based or SaaS products
  • Ability to interpret server and application logs to diagnose warnings, errors, failures, and unexpected behavior
  • Practical SQL experience with relational databases, including joins, filtering, aggregation, and stored-procedure interpretation
  • Solid understanding of HTTP and HTTPS methods, status codes, headers, and cookies, with hands-on browser developer-tools experience
  • Experience diagnosing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery web applications, including cross-browser and responsive behavior
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and JSON/XML payloads
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, including sessions, cookies, roles, permissions, and tokens
  • Understanding of cloud-hosted applications and common components; Azure experience is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows environments
  • Basic diagnostic or automation scripting skills; PowerShell is preferred
  • Basic Git skills for reviewing history and code
  • Experience handling incidents and service requests in ticketing or tracking systems according to priorities and SLAs, while following change-management procedures
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple incidents and competing priorities at the same time
  • Availability for occasional after-hours support during significant incidents
