Manager, Learning Architecture & Strategy - TD Toronto

Lead learning strategy for TD’s Canadian Banking Contact Centre by designing scalable development programs. Own needs analysis, instructional design, content development, roadmaps, and stakeholder coordination.

Description

  • Report to the Senior Manager, Business Management
  • Design and continuously improve learning solutions for the Canadian Banking Contact Centre
  • Act as the primary learning lead for the Canadian Banking Contact Centre
  • Convert business priorities into practical, scalable learning solutions that improve colleague proficiency and performance
  • Lead needs analysis, content strategy, and learning asset development for onboarding, Day 2, and capability uplift
  • Create and maintain a learning roadmap aligned with business goals and workforce priorities
  • Advise leaders on learning scope, delivery methods, and sequencing
  • Create and implement long-term learning strategies, plans, and roadmaps
  • Assess learning needs and performance gaps
  • Identify root causes and recommend learning or non-learning interventions
  • Use instructional design methods and adult learning principles to create learning solutions
  • Define learning design standards, tools, and practices
  • Turn complex business processes into learner-focused experiences across multiple delivery formats
  • Manage the learning inventory and identify content modernization or streamlining opportunities
  • Develop business cases for learning initiatives and establish rollout plans
  • Partner with HRBPs, L&D centers of excellence, learning operations, learning technology teams, and external vendors
  • Resolve issues and escalations connected to the learning strategy
  • Coordinate learning initiatives across concurrent workstreams and schedules
  • Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues when needed
  • Use feedback and performance insights to enhance learning solutions
  • Support leadership updates and communications for learning initiatives

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, adult education, or a related discipline
  • Expertise in instructional design approaches such as ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking, and adult learning principles
  • Track record of creating learning solutions for complex business settings
  • Experience managing learning initiatives end to end, from needs assessment through design, development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Strong knowledge of learning measurement, learner experience, and capability development practices
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling abilities
  • Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Ability to conduct detailed needs assessments at the organizational, team, and project levels
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with varied stakeholders, including executives, program support teams, external partners, and vendors
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Required post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or a related field
  • Contact centre knowledge and experience are an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning
  • For Quebec roles, mastery of a language other than French to support or interact with employees or colleagues who require services and support in another language
