Remote Collections Specialist - Philippines

Palmetto is seeking a Philippines-based Collections Specialist to manage overdue accounts through high-volume customer outreach. The role involves negotiating payment arrangements, resolving delinquent balances, and maintaining accurate CRM records.

Description

  • Oversee a portfolio of overdue accounts
  • Conduct outbound collection calls, emails, and text messages
  • Arrange payment plans and resolve delinquent accounts in line with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Complete approximately 100 outbound collection calls each day
  • Record call results, payment commitments, and account details accurately in the CRM
  • Calmly and professionally de-escalate interactions with frustrated or upset customers
  • Explain account status, outstanding balances, and available payment options to customers
  • Achieve or surpass daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and collection goals
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and company collection laws and procedures, including the FDCPA where relevant
  • Escalate accounts to a supervisor or pursue alternative resolutions when appropriate
  • Provide courteous, professional, and customer-centered service

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred
  • Previous experience in collections, call centers, or customer service is required
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Professional, clear, and effective telephone communication
  • Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution abilities
  • Ability to stay composed, patient, and focused on solutions when handling escalated or challenging customers
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of calls
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of CRM or collections platforms
  • Careful attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
  • Reliable, positive, and genuinely focused on customer needs
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organization and time-management capabilities
  • Successful completion of a background check is required
  • Experience or knowledge in construction or solar is preferred
  • English and Spanish bilingual skills are an advantage
  • Understanding of collections regulations and compliance practices
  • Experience using outbound dialing systems
