M&A Consultant at bp – Sunbury, Hybrid

Description

  • Lead and support M&A activities spanning due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition transformation
  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities for value creation potential, operational effects, and business risks
  • Work with leaders and teams to design operating models, organisational structures, and integration plans
  • Run workshops and collaborative sessions to address business challenges and enable decisions
  • Help align cultures, behaviours, and working practices while supporting employees through change
  • Create engagement and communication plans that keep employees informed, involved, and motivated
  • Assess leadership capability, critical talent, and organisational needs across acquired businesses
  • Use business, workforce, and financial data to inform recommendations and integration decisions
  • Coordinate organisational change activities as teams transition to new structures and processes
  • Collaborate across functions to meet integration goals and deliver measurable results
  • Provide insights that support bp’s long-term growth and transformation priorities

Requirements

  • Background in mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting, organisational consulting, business transformation, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations
  • Experience supporting organisational change, major transformation, or integration programmes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with stakeholders at every level of an organisation
  • Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and group decision-making
  • Knowledge of culture change, employee engagement, or organisational effectiveness programmes
  • Ability to influence outcomes through collaboration, credibility, and strong relationships
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive people and organisational matters
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting
  • Adaptable, proactive approach to working effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience in a large multinational organisation or consulting environment is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% in this role
