Bilingual Customer Service Specialist - Lubbock, TX (Hybrid)

Support Maximus’s Health Texas project by assisting customers in Spanish and English with benefit enrollment and program services. Provide customer care through phone, IVR, web chat, and approved online portals.

Description

  • Support the Health Texas project with customer service and benefit enrollment
  • Respond to inquiries by phone, IVR, web chat, and other approved channels
  • Explain programs and services accurately to consumers, enrollees, health plans, and providers
  • Document customer contacts, questions, complaints, comments, actions, and transactions
  • Process related tasks and transactions in line with established guidelines
  • Use multiple computer systems while maintaining accurate data entry
  • Send requested materials by mail, email, or electronic delivery
  • Route customers to the appropriate internal or external resource
  • Resolve routine issues and complete necessary account updates
  • Escalate unresolved, complex, sensitive, or grievance-related matters
  • Arrange translation or interpretation support for customers who do not speak English
  • Report service delivery needs, concerns, and issues to supervisors
  • Achieve quality, productivity, and other assigned performance targets
  • Attend required meetings and training while keeping current on programs, systems, policies, and procedures
  • Carry out additional related responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Requires 0–6 months of relevant professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent Spanish and English communication skills
  • Able to work shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday
  • Efficient typing skills
  • Able to work under pressure and respond with urgency
  • Excellent attendance, with no time off permitted during training
  • Strong organization and task-prioritization abilities
  • Basic proficiency with Windows and/or Mac computers
  • Able to manage more than 100 calls per day, including repetitive calls
  • Must live in Texas within 70 miles of Lubbock, Texas
  • Must report onsite on the first day for equipment training
  • Must complete classroom and on-the-job training without missing time
  • Able and willing to keep the webcam on during training and meetings when directed
  • Quiet, professional workspace without distractions or background noise
  • Workspace must accommodate two large monitors, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, and docking station
  • Reliable wired high-speed cable or fiber internet is required; cellular, fixed wireless, and satellite service are not compatible
  • Internet service must provide at least 20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
