Norwegian Localization Specialist

Mercell is seeking a localization specialist to adapt SaaS platform content and customer materials from English into Norwegian. The role combines translation, AI-assisted workflows, accessibility, and cross-functional content review for public procurement products.

Description

  • Translate and localize Mercell content from English into Norwegian with a high standard of quality.
  • Adapt e-learning, Knowledge Base content, customer communications, emails, and guides for Norwegian users.
  • Use AI-enabled localization tools while applying thorough human quality control.
  • Review AI-assisted copy for alignment with Mercell’s brand voice and Norwegian procurement context.
  • Work with the Delivery Department and support the wider content strategy.
  • Coordinate localization review cycles with product teams.
  • Incorporate internal feedback and product changes into localized content.
  • Develop mock tenders to obtain accurate labels and screenshots for training materials.
  • Write and review image alternative text to support digital accessibility.
  • Maintain localized assets as products evolve, preserving a consistent user experience.

Requirements

  • Native-level or C2 Norwegian proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian business practices and local communication nuances.
  • Advanced ability to work with SaaS platforms and content management systems.
  • Careful attention to grammar, tone, and technical precision.
  • Strong coordination skills across Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Delivery teams.
  • Ability to oversee multiple localization workstreams while meeting demanding deadlines.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Experience in localization, translation, or content management in a SaaS or international business setting is preferred.
  • Experience with public procurement or regulated industries is beneficial but not required.
  • Currently based in Norway or already authorized to work there.
  • Availability for a temporary contract through 31 December 2026.
