Client Service Manager – UK Back Office Support (Hybrid)

Lead UK back-office service operations for Objectway, a global provider of wealth, banking, and asset-management software. The role covers service delivery, client relationships, vendors, applications, incident management, releases, and support-team leadership.

Description

  • Own the daily operation of Objectway’s UK Back Office Support function
  • Match people and capacity to business priorities, service obligations, and client needs
  • Contribute to leadership forums, operational planning, strategy, and ongoing improvement
  • Strengthen client and stakeholder partnerships through structured reviews and regular engagement
  • Drive improvements to processes, service quality, and operational efficiency
  • Direct support coverage for the eXimius Back Office product portfolio
  • Manage the defect process from incident prioritisation through resolution
  • Plan and coordinate releases, upgrades, and related change activity
  • Translate client goals, regulatory obligations, and operational issues into effective support practices
  • Oversee relationships with external vendors and financial data suppliers
  • Maintain service-level performance, policy adherence, regulatory compliance, and recognised support standards
  • Coach and develop a capable, high-performing support team

Requirements

  • At least five years leading technical support, operations, or service-delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ownership of business-critical applications in complex operating environments
  • Strong capability in leadership, people development, coaching, and workforce planning, including building effective teams
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication with clients, senior stakeholders, and technical colleagues
  • A customer-first mindset with a consistent focus on service quality and improvement
  • Able to organise competing priorities, manage pressure, and deliver reliably
  • Methodical, proactive, and attentive to detail, while willing to work hands-on when needed
  • Comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies, products, and business workflows quickly
  • Professional, accountable, dependable, and focused on measurable outcomes
  • Background in financial services, investment management, or securities operations is advantageous
  • Experience working with software suppliers, external providers, or outsourced service organisations is desirable
  • Understanding of incident, problem, change, and broader service-management practices is beneficial
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for formulas, analysis, reporting, and macros
  • Practical experience with Atlassian Jira for incidents, defects, changes, and workflow administration
  • Knowledge of IT service management, operational support, and service-delivery practices
  • Exposure to ISO-accredited quality processes and controlled, auditable operating environments
  • Experience preparing operational measures, service reviews, and management information
  • Awareness of software development, release coordination, and application-support lifecycles
  • Working knowledge of back-office platforms used in investment, wealth-management, or securities operations
  • Experience in wealth management, private banking, investment management, or stockbroking
  • Understanding of financial technology across trading, settlement, custody, corporate actions, and portfolio accounting
  • Familiarity with client-facing support structures and service-level governance
  • Knowledge of UK financial-services regulatory and operational obligations
  • Experience with eXimius Back Office or a comparable investment-management platform is highly beneficial
