Client Manager, Pharmacy Benefits — Remote (United States)

Manage employer and health plan pharmacy benefit accounts for AffirmedRx. Coordinate client requests, benefit operations, reporting, issue resolution, and account team activities.

Description

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned client accounts while supporting the Client Executive and wider account team.
  • Develop effective working relationships with HR teams, benefits administrators, consultants, and other client stakeholders.
  • Handle client questions, direct requests to the appropriate internal teams, and drive follow-through through resolution.
  • Keep account records, communications, and action items current in Salesforce and other internal platforms.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document action items, and coordinate follow-up for client meetings.
  • Process eligibility changes, benefit updates, plan configuration requests, and routine account maintenance.
  • Work with Operations, Eligibility, Billing, Clinical, and IT teams to deliver client requests.
  • Track schedules and deliverables for implementations, renewals, and benefit changes.
  • Verify account information and raise discrepancies or other issues for resolution.
  • Review account metrics, pharmacy spending, and utilization trends to identify insights and optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute to quarterly business plans, financial performance summaries, and client reporting materials.
  • Surface cost-reduction and operational improvement opportunities, and refer upsell or growth opportunities as appropriate.
  • Triage client issues, communicate progress clearly, and coordinate resolution.
  • Refer complex or high-impact matters to the Director of Client Management or Client Executive.
  • Join recurring account team meetings to align on priorities and follow-up actions.
  • Comply with company policies, operating procedures, and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Document client requests, decisions, and completed work accurately.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, client experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Take part in training and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 0–1 year of account management, client success, or client-facing operations experience in a PBM, health plan, TPA, or managed-care setting.
  • Professional healthcare experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy benefit operations, including claims processing, formulary management, eligibility, network configuration, and benefit plan design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pharmacy benefit topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities with careful attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard business applications, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Experience in a transparent, pass-through, or PBM-optimizer organization.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable healthcare CRM platform.
  • Experience supporting quarterly business reviews and client-facing financial reporting.
  • Previous experience working within a pod-based or team-based account model.
