Senior Technical Support Engineer – Ethernet and AI Infrastructure (Australia, Remote)

NVIDIA is seeking a senior technical support engineer to troubleshoot Ethernet networking, Linux systems, and AI infrastructure for customers in Australia. The role leads complex escalations, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional incident resolution.

Description

  • Troubleshoot complex issues across NVIDIA Ethernet networking, Linux systems, servers, and large-scale AI infrastructure, including end-to-end Spectrum-X solutions.
  • Manage critical customer cases from the first response through final resolution.
  • Coordinate technical teams while keeping customers and leadership informed with clear, timely updates.
  • Reproduce issues, examine diagnostic data, determine root causes, and resolve installation, operational, maintenance, performance, and multivendor interoperability problems.
  • Support enterprise, cloud, and service-provider customers through phone, email, and conference-based engagements.
  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to convert field insights into product enhancements, support tools, documentation, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Lead technical response during high-severity incidents while balancing priorities, risks, and customer expectations.
  • Strengthen support operations through automation, knowledge sharing, disciplined debugging, and agentic AI tools.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience delivering in-depth technical support and debugging for networking, hardware, software, or enterprise infrastructure products.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ethernet and data center networking, including TCP/IP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, ARP, STP, LACP, MLAG, IGMP, PIM, BGP, OSPF, routing, and switching.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex network problems with tcpdump, Wireshark, packet generators, telemetry, and log-analysis tools.
  • Strong Linux administration and networking expertise, including troubleshooting server, operating-system, driver, hardware, and performance problems.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication, writing, speaking, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to make complex technical issues understandable, set expectations effectively, and establish trust with customers and executives.
  • Experience leading high-severity customer incidents, coordinating multiple technical groups, making decisions under pressure, and driving issues to closure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization capabilities, with the independence to manage several complex issues.
  • Practical experience with agentic AI tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor.
  • Hands-on AI infrastructure experience plus expertise in at least two of the following: data centers, distributed systems, accelerated servers, virtualization, deep learning frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, or high-performance computing.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
