Remote Hotel Reservations Customer Service Agent (Canada)

Help hotel guests with questions and reservations by phone, email, or chat. Support bookings and changes while recommending upgrades and promotions for hospitality clients.

Description

  • Support hotel guests professionally by phone or email.
  • Answer questions by phone, email, or chat.
  • Explain hotel properties, amenities, policies, reservations, and services accurately.
  • Help guests book, change, or cancel hotel reservations.
  • Convert booking opportunities and recommend room upgrades, promotions, and other offerings.
  • Address guest questions, concerns, and objections to help complete reservations.
  • Record guest interactions and reservation details in booking and other systems.
  • Follow service standards, reservation procedures, and sales processes.
  • Stay informed about assigned brands, properties, promotions, and reservation policies.
  • Work with softphone apps, email, web browsers, and internal systems.
  • Meet service quality, productivity, accuracy, and sales expectations.
  • Complete training and stay up to date on procedures, systems, and client expectations.
  • Represent the client’s brand professionally in every guest interaction.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication for email work and/or strong verbal communication for phone work.
  • A guest-focused approach and the ability to adapt communication to different needs.
  • A sales-focused approach, including spotting opportunities, recommending options, addressing objections, and securing bookings.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and use computer systems efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently remotely and contribute positively to a team.
  • Comfort working toward targets in a structured, metrics-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and web systems, including Microsoft 365.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check where required.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A dedicated, quiet, private workspace with a door.
  • An ergonomic desk and chair.
  • High-speed internet with an approved wired connection.
  • Previous contact centre, customer service, sales, reservations, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience with booking systems, CRM tools, or customer service platforms preferred.
