MoneyGram Compliance Investigation Analyst - Poland Remote

Investigate AML, fraud, and suspicious activity for MoneyGram in a remote Poland-based role. Review alerts, prepare Suspicious Activity Reports, and support regulatory risk mitigation.

Description

  • Review and assess potential suspicious-activity leads from alerts, subpoenas, warrants, negative media, and other sources
  • Identify, investigate, and report suspicious activity
  • Manage investigations from detection through final disposition
  • Examine reports and investigative leads thoroughly and promptly for indicators of suspicious activity
  • Develop and recommend responses to potentially suspicious findings
  • Report suspicious activity to the relevant regulatory authorities
  • Contribute to MoneyGram’s forward-looking risk-mitigation efforts
  • Support managers, supervisors, and senior analysts with moderately complex AML and fraud investigations
  • Collaborate with team members to close cases, escalate findings, and file Suspicious Activity Reports with global regulators, law enforcement, or Financial Intelligence Units
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports and recommend retaining or terminating relationships
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Advisory, Business, Legal, Security, Law Enforcement, and other internal teams
  • Carry out other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law enforcement, legal studies, or a related field; equivalent experience in financial services, law, banking, or a related area may be accepted
  • Three to five years of experience conducting compliance-related financial investigations in a money services business or banking environment
  • CAMS or CFE certification preferred
  • At least one year of experience preparing and writing Suspicious Activity Reports or comparable regulatory filings preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of money-laundering laws and regulations, including the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements, and/or global AML, CTF, and fraud regulations
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to reprioritize changing assignments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects on schedule
  • Exceptional research, analytical, cross-referencing, and deductive-reasoning skills
  • Strong written, analytical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present investigative findings and recommendations to senior leaders and law-enforcement personnel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with culturally diverse agents and consumers
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience handling highly confidential information
  • Ability to share expertise, mentor colleagues, and train team members
  • Strong understanding of MoneyGram’s global products and services
  • Knowledge of domestic and international higher-risk countries, jurisdictions, and corridors associated with AML and CTF concerns preferred
  • Fluent or bilingual communication skills preferred
