Description

  • Develop and improve software for data engineering, analytics, and cloud projects independently.
  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, interfaces, and data-driven applications.
  • Help shape architecture decisions, data models, and technical solution designs.
  • Deliver cloud-based data and software solutions using AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Turn complex technical requirements into robust, scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Work with relational databases, NoSQL databases, or both.
  • Maintain quality through testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Guide and support less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Bring substantial experience across several relevant technical areas.
  • Have practical experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Have several years of experience in software development, data engineering, or both.
  • Know Java or Java Enterprise, Spring, REST, XML, or web services very well.
  • Have strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Have worked with data pipelines, interfaces, data integration, or analytics applications.
  • Experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Understand software architecture, including multi-tier systems, microservices, or design patterns.
  • Be proficient with Git, Maven, Jira, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with big data technologies, modern data platforms, or cloud-native architectures is an advantage.
  • Work in a structured, analytical, and self-directed way.
  • Be able to interpret technical requirements, propose solutions, and implement them.
  • Have experience in agile settings such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in customer projects or IT consulting is an advantage.
  • Hold a degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or natural sciences, or have an equivalent practical qualification.
  • Speak German very well and have a good command of English.
