Client Care Specialist II (Hybrid)

Support banking clients through phone, email, and in-person service as a Client Care Specialist II. Handle digital banking inquiries, regulatory procedures, fraud escalations, and operational support.

Description

  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls by resolving client questions and service-related issues.
  • Provide consistent client support by phone, email, and in person.
  • Give accurate guidance in line with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold quality standards and participate in monitoring sessions.
  • Explain bank products, services, policies, and procedures in detail.
  • Monitor call trends and potential suspicious activity, escalating concerns to management or the Fraud Investigations Unit.
  • Maintain working knowledge of digital banking tools, branch systems, and basic branch balancing procedures.
  • Achieve performance goals such as average handling time and first-call resolution.
  • Differentiate user errors from technical problems and escalate issues when needed.
  • Follow operational, regulatory, and security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments to promote teamwork and accurate information sharing.
  • Follow scheduling procedures and report attendance or schedule discrepancies.
  • Guide clients on policies and procedures involving trusts, guardianships, estates, court orders, and powers of attorney.
  • Create case tickets in Elevate and route requests to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain proficiency with digital banking services, including Zelle and wire transactions.
  • Complete assigned special tasks and projects.
  • Cross-train across operational units within the Client Support department.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in client support, customer service, or operations.
  • Banking, bank operations, or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and courteous customer service approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic familiarity with branch and digital banking software applications.
  • Sound judgment within clearly defined limits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members at different levels.
  • Basic understanding of federal AML, BSA, and OFAC regulations.
  • Commitment to staying current with regulatory changes relevant to the role.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume call environment while maintaining service quality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Accurate execution of oral and written instructions.
  • Adaptability and a constructive approach when situations change.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage time well.
  • Strong attention to detail and task accuracy.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Equivalent education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
