Opis

  • Process patient payments by phone in line with financial responsibility policies
  • Set up and maintain patient payment plans
  • Keep transactions, records, and data accurate
  • Explain claim notes, account balances, and billing outcomes to patients
  • Verify, review, and update insurance details
  • Update insurance records in the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims
  • Explain benefits coordination, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, filing deadlines, and claim denials to patients
  • Spot billing discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve them
  • Review account histories to find the source of billing or payment concerns
  • Recommend next steps and resolutions that follow company policies
  • Work with billing systems, EMR platforms, and reference tools
  • Use multiple systems at once while assisting patients
  • Follow documentation, privacy, security, and HIPAA rules
  • Be available and follow the assigned work schedule
  • Complete required client training and take part in additional and cross-training
  • Deliver professional, accountable, empathetic, patient-focused service

Zahteve

  • Customer service or call center experience is required
  • Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience is strongly preferred
  • Payment processing or financial transaction experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Technical proficiency with EMR systems and standard computer applications
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or virtual setting
  • English speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • Background check, as required by applicable law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of healthcare billing and insurance concepts
  • Ability to explain complex billing details in clear, patient-friendly language
  • Comfort using multiple systems and tools at the same time
  • Organized, self-directed, collaborative approach to work

Ugodnosti

  • Starting pay is $15 per hour, with an extra $1 per hour for night and weekend shifts
  • Paid training, typically lasting two weeks
  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
  • Eligible for benefits on the first day of the month after 60 days
