Bilingual Cantonese Customer Service Representative - New York Remote
Provide remote Cantonese customer service for Maximus’s New York healthcare enrollment program. Support applications, eligibility decisions, plan enrollment, and multilingual caller assistance.
Descriere
- Handle incoming calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, and individuals assisting enrollees.
- Manage inbound and outbound contacts accurately and professionally.
- Record and maintain inquiry details in the required systems.
- Process healthcare coverage applications by phone.
- Compile tax household and household income information.
- Determine eligibility and explain Marketplace determinations.
- Enroll consumers in available health plans.
- Process life events, demographic changes, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods.
- Send requested materials by mail, email, or download.
- Arrange translation support for callers who do not speak English.
- Refer calls and issues to designated staff when escalation is required.
- Participate in meetings and training while keeping program and system knowledge current.
- Handle information in accordance with confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Achieve Quality Assurance standards and other key performance measures.
- Follow established workplace safety procedures.
- Complete additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Cerințe
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least six months of relevant professional experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian is required, or proficiency in both Spanish and Haitian Creole.
- Fluent Cantonese and English speaking, reading, and translation skills are required.
- Must live within 100 miles of New York, NY.
- Must currently and permanently reside in the continental United States.
- Internet service must provide speeds of at least 20 Mbps.
- Must have Wi-Fi or a Category 5 or 6 Ethernet connection to the home router.
- Strong data-entry and telephone skills are required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex tasks at the same time.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience with computers, telephone systems, and headsets is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Must occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
