Apraksts

  • Handle patient payments by phone in line with financial responsibility policies
  • Set up and maintain patient payment plans
  • Keep transactions, records, and data accurate
  • Explain claim notes, balances, and billing results to patients
  • Verify, review, and update insurance details
  • Update insurance records in the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims
  • Explain coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, filing deadlines, and claim denials to patients
  • Flag discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve billing issues
  • Review account history to identify the cause of billing or payment concerns
  • Suggest resolutions and next steps that follow policy
  • Work with approved billing systems, EMR platforms, tools, and reference materials
  • Use multiple systems at once while helping patients
  • Meet documentation, privacy, security, and HIPAA standards
  • Keep to assigned schedules and remain available during work hours
  • Complete required client training and take part in further and cross-training
  • Deliver professional, accountable, empathetic, patient-focused service

Prasības

  • Customer service or call center background is required
  • Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience is strongly preferred
  • Payment processing or financial transaction experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and common computer applications
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Background check, as permitted by applicable laws
  • Strong spoken and written communication
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of healthcare billing and insurance
  • Ability to explain complex billing details in clear, patient-friendly terms
  • Comfort using several systems and tools at the same time
  • Organized, self-directed, and collaborative work style

Priekšrocības

  • Starting wage of $15 per hour, plus a $1 per hour differential for night and weekend shifts
  • Paid training, usually two weeks, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
  • Eligible for benefits beginning on the first day of the month after 60 days
