Relationship Manager, Corporate Retirement Plans – Oklahoma Remote

Manage Empower’s Oklahoma corporate retirement-plan relationships with advisors and plan sponsors. Oversee $10–$35 million accounts while supporting retention, growth, and retirement readiness.

Description

  • Manage retention and profitability for a book of business, generally comprising plans with $10–$35 million in assets.
  • Develop and expand relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Advise plan sponsors and advisors on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, affiliated products, and new opportunities.
  • Conduct plan-level reviews, including employee education planning.
  • Resolve escalated client and plan issues.
  • Work with the local sales team to strengthen advisor relationships, pursue new business, and expand existing accounts.
  • Attend local and regional onsite meetings with advisors and clients.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on complex issues involving clients, accounts, projects, analyses, and internal relationships.
  • Expand Empower’s relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators across Oklahoma’s corporate market.
  • Oversee relationships with plan sponsors whose plan assets range from $10 million to $35 million.

Requirements

  • Obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations within the timelines established by the company.
  • Hold a Life Insurance license.
  • Complete FINRA fingerprinting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of financial services or other relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience building strategic relationships.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA concepts related to compliance, plan design, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate moderately complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Organize facts, data, and other information to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Apply basic negotiation and time-management skills with manager guidance.
  • Travel 40% to 60% of the time as required by the territory or book of business.
  • Use a personal vehicle for most travel, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Work under normal office conditions, typically from a residential office with a distraction-free workspace.
  • Be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT, is not available.
  • Maintain reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and an appropriate home workspace for remote work.
