HR Operations Specialist, German-Speaking — Portugal Remote
Manage onboarding, compliance, and employee lifecycle operations for WorkMotion’s international workforce. Resolve HR matters for clients and employees across multiple European jurisdictions.
Description
- Manage HR operations across assigned countries, including onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
- Act as a primary contact for clients and employees regarding everyday HR matters
- Maintain compliance with local employment legislation and internal procedures
- Assess potential risks and escalate complex cases when necessary
- Resolve HR inquiries and support significant employment events
- Deliver accurate HR processes while advancing standardization, process improvement, and operational excellence
- Coordinate with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Product, and external partners
- Assist with reporting, audits, HR administration, knowledge management, and operational initiatives
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in HR Operations, employee lifecycle management, HR advisory, or a comparable client-facing HR position
- Practical knowledge of employment law and HR practices
- Capability to manage onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and routine HR operations
- Ability to balance customer needs, compliance obligations, and business priorities in a fast-paced international setting
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management abilities
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German
- Experience with an Employer of Record, global mobility, payroll, or international HR environment is an advantage
- Background supporting multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions is an advantage
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and process improvement programs is an advantage
- Additional European language skills and employment law knowledge are an advantage
