Service Desk Engineer – Remote in Serbia

Support Tabby’s flexible payments platform by managing incidents, production issues, and operational tooling. Use SQL, monitoring, automation, and AI solutions to strengthen support workflows.

Description

  • Triage alerts and incidents, assess their impact, and escalate them to the appropriate teams
  • Coordinate incident resolution while keeping stakeholders updated
  • Take part in the on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours alerts
  • Contribute to post-incident reviews and track resulting action items
  • Manage requests from support teams and internal colleagues
  • Use logs, metrics, and SQL to investigate technical issues, identify defects, and create actionable development tasks
  • Maintain runbooks and documentation for L1 and L2 support teams
  • Improve support and incident management workflows
  • Automate recurring tasks and help develop internal tools, including BackOffice and alerting systems
  • Evaluate and implement AI and LLM-based tools for request handling, incident triage, and documentation

Requirements

  • Background in service desk, production support, or a comparable operations role
  • Practical incident management experience or a strong willingness to develop in this area
  • Ability to remain organized and communicate clearly during service disruptions
  • Ownership, initiative, and a high degree of independence
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or Kibana
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries
  • Experience using Jira
  • English proficiency sufficient for written communication and technical documentation, at B2 level or above
  • Experience applying AI or LLM tools to support or operational workflows is a plus
  • Google Cloud experience is a plus
  • Google Apps Script experience is a plus
  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Go is a plus
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus
  • Jira administration experience is a plus
