Senior Localization Project Manager - Argentina (Remote)

Description

  • Manage assigned accounts from planning through execution, tracking, delivery, and closure using Welocalize processes and tools
  • Support the Operations Squad Lead on large enterprise accounts
  • Own project-level client relationships and partner with account directors and production teams to improve delivery, satisfaction, quality, and profitability
  • Lead global internal and external teams, including direct and indirect reports
  • Develop, analyze, and implement project plans aligned with Welocalize standards
  • Prepare project schedules, estimates, and proposals for client approval
  • Identify risks and plan mitigation activities to reduce potential issues
  • Work with moderate support and identify and escalate issues promptly
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, vendors, and other departments
  • Develop and maintain client relationships at the project and program levels
  • Partner with production teams on continuous improvement, profitability, efficiency, and automation
  • Provide timely, effective communication to clients, production business units, and other stakeholders
  • Keep finance system data accurate and oversee invoice approvals
  • Report weekly on project status, budget performance, time management, and client or vendor issues
  • Protect project profitability through margin management
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct face-to-face quarterly business reviews with clients
  • Create and maintain process documentation as needed
  • Manage quality assurance projects, including resourcing, defect tracking, and reporting

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree combined with relevant industry experience in place of a master’s degree
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience working internationally or directly with international product development
  • Experience in a technology-related company
  • Demonstrated experience managing large clients, accounts, and projects
  • Successful management of complex eLearning and multimedia projects is a plus
  • Experience creating client documents such as statements of work, proposals, process documentation, and postmortems
  • Demonstrated involvement in developing processes and contributing ideas
  • Demonstrated involvement in new-client sales cycles, including presentations, analysis, recommendations, and relationship development
  • Experience managing financial budgets, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Experience with Translation Management Systems such as XTM and Smartling
  • Experience using AI tools such as GPT and Claude, including optimizing processes and workflows with AI
  • Energetic, positive approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead large, diverse, virtual teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to build and sustain strong client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
