Remote Customer Service Representative – Kwikset Smart Locks

Provide remote customer service and technical support for Kwikset smart-lock customers through calls and email. Assist with installation, repairs, product troubleshooting, and escalated support issues.

Description

  • Handle consumer calls and emails about Kwikset specialty-lock problems, installation guidance, and general product information.
  • Manage a high volume of incoming technical support calls.
  • Use product knowledge to answer questions and refer consumers to the appropriate resource when needed.
  • Resolve customer interactions with tact, diplomacy, and a strong service focus while following company guidelines.
  • Record relevant consumer details in the computer system during calls.
  • Process consumer repair requests according to established service procedures.
  • Assess product issues and determine whether items should be repaired or scrapped.
  • Help consumers with installation methods, product features, and available models.

Requirements

  • At least one year of product-focused customer support or call-center experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in the hardware and home-improvement industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a technical mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Work independently and stay self-motivated.
  • Type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Use sound judgment to solve challenging customer situations.
  • Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Have basic computer-software knowledge for entering and retrieving data.
  • Be available Monday through Friday from 2:00–10:30 p.m. PST, plus two rotating Saturdays after training.
  • Spanish or French bilingual ability is a plus.
