Freelance moderator for Clue’s anonymous reproductive-health community in Germany. Review sensitive content, apply community guidelines, support members, and contribute to product improvements.

Description

  • Moderate Clue Community, an anonymous in-app peer-support space
  • Review flagged posts and comments against community guidelines
  • Choose whether to respond, move posts, remove content, ban members, or take no action, and explain decisions clearly
  • Protect member anonymity and escalate potential GDPR concerns
  • Remove clinical advice and unverified health claims
  • Apply the crisis protocol when a member may be at risk
  • Escalate unclear cases, appeals, and threats
  • Record removals, bans, and monitoring decisions in the shared moderation sheet
  • Write moderator responses in Clue’s voice
  • Route questions to Customer Support or other teams
  • Share feedback with Product and Science teams
  • Contribute observations and lessons to future feature development

Requirements

  • Experience moderating or supporting an online community, forum, or social channel; volunteer experience is also considered
  • Excellent written English
  • Additional languages are advantageous, particularly Spanish or Portuguese
  • Calm and consistent judgement when handling sensitive topics
  • Discretion and a strong commitment to privacy
  • Able to follow detailed guidance while identifying and escalating cases that fall outside it
  • Curious about AI tools and their role in supporting careful, human-led work
  • Organised and dependable, with the ability to record decisions, maintain a daily rhythm, and follow through
  • Interest in reproductive or women’s health is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of GDPR or the EU Digital Services Act is advantageous
  • Mental health first aid or crisis-awareness training is advantageous; support will be provided to obtain it
  • Familiarity with Slack, Google Sheets, or community platforms is advantageous
