Youth Community Coordinator
Part-time role supporting at-risk youth through Service Alternatives’ foster care services. Coordinates service goals, staff, crisis response, and community-based support.
Description
- Develop service goals with and for at-risk or displaced youth up to age 17
- Connect foster parents, staff, and the community team
- Maintain a safe setting while carrying out behavioral and permanency goals
- Coordinate schedules
- Lead and train staff
- Provide crisis support
- Coordinate administrative staff
- Work both collaboratively and independently
- Work from the Vancouver, Washington office and travel up to 75 miles to community and home settings to support staff
- Work directly with youth as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of direct experience working with youth, or two years of education in social services
- Clear criminal history and successful background check
- Hold a CPR/First Aid license or obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Current driver’s license, car, and car insurance
- Complete a TB test within seven days of the first workday or before working on site, whichever comes first
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
