- Lead backend projects from prototypes through large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products
- Build cloud systems that detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production worldwide
- Collaborate across teams to shape and build solutions
- Introduce technologies and practices while strengthening the team’s technical expertise
- Share knowledge and mentor colleagues on web, backend, and data storage systems
- Improve product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability
- Own deliverables and meet commitments
- Use and contribute to open-source projects
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience with data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
- At least 12 years of backend development experience
- Ability to scale backend systems through sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies
- Knowledge of engineering best practices, testing methods, peer code review, and resilient architecture
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, iterative programming environment
- Ability to deliver high-quality software through unit testing, code review, and regular check-ins for continuous integration
- Demonstrated use of AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, increase efficiency, and drive business outcomes
- Experience with Go, OAuth, AWS, Kafka, Git, Elasticsearch, Redis, Postgres, and GraphQL
- Exposure to Go, AWS, GCP, SpiceDB, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with SAML, OAuth, SSO, OIDC, and JWT
- Cybersecurity or intelligence experience is a plus
- A record of authoring and leading successful open-source libraries and projects is a plus
