Director of Consumer Digital Experience at Credit Acceptance - Remote

Lead the digital experience across Credit Acceptance’s website, mobile app, customer portal, and payment systems. Shape product strategy for a vehicle-financing company serving consumers with credit challenges.

Description

  • Set the target state and multi-year strategy for the consumer digital experience
  • Manage a prioritized roadmap spanning the website, mobile app, web portal, and payments
  • Increase digital engagement, collection rates, and cost efficiency
  • Establish and maintain consistent experience standards across digital channels
  • Collaborate with Consumer Acquisition and Customer Loyalty & Retention to turn business opportunities into digital solutions
  • Prioritize competing roadmap requests according to value and available capacity
  • Lead website conversion optimization across prequalification, dealer search, marketplace experiences, lead capture, and dealer matching
  • Direct app and portal self-service initiatives, benefits delivery, progress tracking, next-loan re-entry, and efforts to reduce assisted contacts
  • Oversee the complete digital payments experience, including payment methods, processing, retries, recovery, governance, compliance, and external partners
  • Develop shared capabilities such as unified login and customer profiles, notifications, personalization, and marketing technology integrations
  • Establish success metrics and value expectations, manage release timelines and build plans, and evaluate results
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing product, design, and digital organization
  • Report to the Vice President of Marketing
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, servicing, analytics, compliance, and vendor teams
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, product management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in digital product, digital customer experience, or ecommerce
  • A minimum of five years in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated success managing consumer-facing websites and mobile apps and the business results they produce
  • Experience leading product managers and designers across multiple product surfaces
  • Experience owning or substantially influencing budget and investment decisions for a function or program
  • Experience operating experimentation programs and applying quantitative and qualitative data to guide strategy and assess impact
  • Experience coordinating engineering, design, and vendor partners to deliver roadmaps on a reliable schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence senior and executive stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • The required degree must come from a higher-education institution accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or an equivalent accrediting body
  • Must be authorized to work legally for Credit Acceptance without current or future sponsorship, including H-1B, H-4, or F-1 OPT status
  • MBA or another advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or subprime or near-prime lending preferred
  • Experience with digital payments, billing, or account-servicing platforms preferred
  • Experience with marketplace, ecommerce, or vehicle-retailing products preferred
  • Experience with AI-assisted service experiences and containment economics preferred
