Business Process Analyst, Client Onboarding - Sydney

Business Process Analyst supporting PwC Australia's Sydney-based client onboarding transformation. The role maps workflows, defines requirements, and advances automation across risk, compliance, and operations.

Description

  • Lead discovery and document current-state client onboarding workflows
  • Investigate duplicated data capture, unnecessary reviews, handoff issues, and control gaps
  • Rank process improvement opportunities by value, effort, and risk
  • Create future-state processes, user journeys, and onboarding paths
  • Specify data capture, mapping, business rules, and reporting needs
  • Convert process designs into business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Identify automation and AI opportunities for the Automation & Agentification Squad backlog
  • Assist with pilots, process testing, and business validation
  • Develop operating procedures, process documentation, and transition materials
  • Organise and lead workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs
  • Develop effective relationships with client-facing, risk, compliance, and operations teams
  • Work with change managers to support adoption

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end process improvement or business process re-engineering in complex, multi-stakeholder organisations
  • Experience in professional services or financial services is preferred
  • Strong capability in current- and future-state mapping, including BPMN, swimlanes, value streams, and customer journeys
  • Practical experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable improvement methods
  • Experience with client onboarding and regulated risk processes, including AML/CTF, KYC, CDD, conflicts, and independence
  • Ability to assess process performance and build evidence-based cases for change using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong background in requirements elicitation and backlog refinement
  • Experience defining business rules, data mappings, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience spotting automation and AI opportunities and collaborating with technology teams
  • Effective facilitator and communicator across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery settings
  • Proficiency with Visio, Miro, Microsoft Whiteboard, and Jira
  • Exposure to Signavio, Celonis, Salesforce, or workflow platforms is highly regarded
  • Availability for a maximum 12-month contract
