Opis

  • Take patient payments by phone in line with financial responsibility policies.
  • Set up and maintain patient payment plans.
  • Keep transactions, documentation, and account data accurate.
  • Explain claim notes, balances, and billing decisions to patients.
  • Review and update insurance information.
  • Enter insurance details in the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims.
  • Explain coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, filing deadlines, and claim denials.
  • Spot billing discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve them.
  • Review account histories to identify the causes of billing and payment concerns.
  • Suggest next steps and resolutions consistent with policy.
  • Work with billing platforms, EMRs, support tools, and reference materials.
  • Use multiple systems while assisting patients.
  • Follow assigned schedules and remain available during work hours.
  • Complete client-required training and take part in additional and cross-training.
  • Follow HIPAA and applicable confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Provide professional, accountable, empathetic, patient-focused service.

Zahteve

  • Customer service or call center experience is required.
  • Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience is strongly preferred.
  • Payment processing or financial transaction experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical proficiency with EMR systems and standard computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Background check required as permitted by applicable law.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of healthcare billing and insurance concepts.
  • Ability to explain complex billing information in clear, patient-friendly language.
  • Comfort using multiple systems and tools at the same time.
  • Organized, self-directed, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Must live in one of these states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Ugodnosti

  • Additional $1 per hour for night and weekend shifts.
  • Paid training, typically lasting two weeks.
