Descriere

  • Respond to patients through phone, email, voicemail, fax, and chat.
  • Identify patient trends and feedback, including barriers to scheduling, and share them with the appropriate teams.
  • Coordinate with Practice Operations to support accurate patient-provider matching.
  • Assess patient needs and match patients with appropriate providers.
  • Schedule initial appointments promptly and accurately, documenting needs such as talk therapy or medication management.
  • Collect patient insurance details and check eligibility for in-network benefits.
  • Obtain and verify clinical history, demographic details, insurance information, and eligibility.
  • Collect credit card details for the patient file in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Help new patients set up the portal and complete paperwork.
  • Process and manage referral paperwork.
  • Record patient interactions and transactions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Contact referral sources, patients, and provider offices to gather information for benefits checks and prior authorizations.
  • Reach out to existing patients to begin new services based on internal or external referrals.
  • Answer questions about new patient appointments and referrals.
  • Handle incoming emergency calls and follow crisis call procedures.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by management to support intake department efficiency.
  • Follow applicable policies, regulations, and compliance standards, including HIPAA and PCI.

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in a contact center and/or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office, the internet, and email.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred.
  • Clear understanding of insurance terminology.
  • English fluency required; Spanish fluency preferred.
  • A quiet, dedicated, distraction-free, HIPAA-compliant remote workspace with high-speed wired internet access.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, and hear; walk frequently; and lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities including near, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Compliance with HIPAA and PCI policies, regulations, and standards.
