Onsite Technical Support Specialist

Troubleshoot gas detection systems, sensors, and controllers while supporting customers by phone and email. Assist with parts orders, quotes, service coordination, and field support for CTI.

Descriere

  • Deliver first-line technical assistance to customers by phone and email
  • Respond to support calls, diagnose reported problems, and establish resolutions or appropriate next steps
  • Help users resolve technical issues involving gas detection systems, sensors, and controllers
  • Escalate complex cases to the Technical Support Supervisor or engineering teams with documented troubleshooting details
  • Organize and prioritize concurrent support requests to promote timely resolution
  • Contact customers after support interactions to verify resolution and maintain a positive experience
  • Keep complete records of customer communications, cases, and solutions
  • Maintain working knowledge of CTI products, services, and relevant standards
  • Process parts orders after receiving customer purchase orders and share lead-time details with the scheduling team
  • Review completed service reports, AARs, parts requests, and quotations as needed
  • Build quoting capabilities under the direction of the Technical Support Supervisor
  • Coordinate with OEMs and distributors to source non-CTI parts
  • Forward system upgrade, replacement, and new installation inquiries to the Technical Support Supervisor for assignment to the Solutions Consultant
  • Provide coverage for scheduling, safety, and other departmental responsibilities
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites after initial training to assist with field service
  • Report directly to the Technical Support Supervisor

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • An associate degree in electronics or two years of industrial controls or industrial maintenance experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with gas detection equipment and industrial environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic circuits, relays, PLCs, and using a digital multimeter on 120VAC and 24VDC circuits and controls is preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Reliable vehicle and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to perform non-sedentary work in varied extreme conditions
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Ability to learn CTI products and services, quoting processes, and parts-sourcing procedures
  • Strong commitment to component and personal safety
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, seek assistance early, and maintain close attention to detail
  • Ability to identify basic electrical and instrumentation issues with a digital multimeter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a clear and professional telephone manner
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-engagement skills, with patience and composure under pressure
  • Proficiency with common word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications
