Support New York residents with healthcare applications, eligibility questions, enrollment, and account updates as a bilingual Mandarin customer service representative. The role handles calls, translations, documentation, and customer inquiries for Maximus’s NYSOH team.
Descriere
- Handle calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, and individuals assisting enrollees
- Manage inbound and outbound customer contacts with accuracy and professionalism
- Record and track inquiries in the designated systems
- Complete healthcare coverage applications by phone, including tax-household and income details, eligibility decisions, and health-plan enrollment
- Direct or refer consumers to the appropriate organizations
- Process life-event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods
- Send requested materials by mail, email, or download
- Coordinate translation support for callers who do not speak English
- Escalate calls and unresolved issues to designated personnel
- Participate in meetings and training while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of programs and systems
- Achieve quality-assurance standards and other performance targets
- Follow all established workplace safety procedures
- Remain seated or stationary for extended periods and occasionally handle items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Complete additional responsibilities assigned by management
Cerințe
- High school diploma or GED plus at least six months of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian, or proficiency in both Spanish and Haitian Creole
- Fluent ability to speak, read, and translate between Mandarin and English
- Live within 100 miles of New York, New York
- Currently and permanently reside in the continental United States
- Strong data-entry and telephone skills
