VP, Client Partner – Princeton, NJ (Hybrid)

Lead strategic marketing accounts as a VP Client Partner, with responsibility for retention, growth, profitability, executive relationships, and commercial performance. Drive integrated CXM programs, account expansion, and alliance-led growth.

Description

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, overseeing satisfaction, retention, margins, forecasts, and annual growth
  • Protect contracted revenue from scope reduction, insourcing, offshore substitution, procurement pressure, and competitor displacement
  • Expand revenue through cross-selling, adjacent services, new buying centers, and expanded agency-of-record scope
  • Develop and own account strategies and growth plans
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with CMOs, CIOs, CFOs, and their leadership teams
  • Coordinate stakeholders across business, technology, operations, vendor management, and procurement
  • Oversee contracts, pricing, profitability, revenue and margin forecasts, and accounts receivable health in Salesforce
  • Connect delivery, solution design, account leadership, and program management to provide a high-touch client experience
  • Collaborate with alliance leaders on account planning, pipeline development, and co-selling
  • Lead Innovation Days, discovery workshops, executive business reviews, and quarterly value reviews
  • Represent the organization through industry events, points of view, workshops, and executive communications
  • Direct Account Directors, Engagement Leaders, and capability teams within a matrix structure
  • Create account strategies covering customer data and CRM integration, content production, B2B transformation, AI and agentic automation, enterprise measurement, and martech migrations
  • Report to the SVP, Growth Officer

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in client services, client management, or enterprise account leadership at an advertising agency, consultancy, marketing services firm, systems integrator, or client-side marketing organization
  • Demonstrated direct P&L responsibility for substantial accounts
  • Proven experience managing $20M-plus books of business and complex, multi-service-line engagements across industries
  • Documented success growing and protecting revenue in challenging conditions
  • Established executive relationships at the CMO, CIO, or CFO level
  • Strong knowledge of CXM and CRM, loyalty, data and analytics, identity, digital marketing, content supply chains, B2B, enterprise AI, and martech
  • Experience leading account teams in a matrix organization without direct reporting authority
  • Commercial expertise in pricing, multiyear deal structures, negotiation, margin protection, forecasting, contracts, and accounts receivable
  • Experience retaining accounts threatened by insourcing, offshore substitution, or competitive displacement
  • Practical understanding of current AI capabilities and their impact on delivery schedules, commercial models, and client expectations
  • Alliance experience with Adobe, Salesforce, or a similar platform partner, including joint planning and co-selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Willingness to work regularly onsite at the client location in Princeton, New Jersey
