Senior Operations Manager – Baton Rouge (Hybrid)

Senior Operations Manager responsible for daily service delivery, team performance, quality, and regulatory compliance at Maximus. The role focuses on continuous improvement, staff development, and timely resolution of operational issues.

Description

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations
  • Maintain required performance metrics, quality standards, and compliance levels
  • Advance operational performance through staff development, performance management, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with internal leaders and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate clear communication and resolve operational issues
  • Enforce organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Direct the daily activities of an operations team
  • Develop performance-improvement action plans with defined timelines
  • Keep performance expectations and corporate or project policies and procedures current and clearly communicated
  • Assess training requirements for employees across multiple programs
  • Work with customers to support communication, collaboration, and prompt issue resolution
  • Address quality deficiencies identified through monitored calls
  • Track staff goals and objectives and prepare performance reports
  • Keep leadership informed about quality, training, policy, procedure, staffing, and departmental performance matters
  • Oversee compliance with ISO standards
  • Apply corrective measures related to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assess employee performance, prepare appraisals, and recommend corrective action
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns, problems, and issues
  • Recommend policy updates and establish related procedures
  • Support the rollout of process-improvement initiatives
  • Guide responses to complaints escalated to management
  • Complete additional duties assigned by Project leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus at least seven years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of experience managing people
  • Previous call center experience is preferred
  • Previous Medicaid Eligibility experience is preferred
  • A minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps is required
  • Home connectivity must use Wi‑Fi or a Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable connected to the router
  • Must currently and permanently live in the continental United States
  • Must be able to follow applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and ISO standards
