Localization Project Manager (India, Remote) | Acclaro

Acclaro is seeking a remote Localization Project Manager in India to deliver multilingual programs from planning through completion. The role coordinates global teams, schedules, budgets, quality controls, technology, and client commitments.

Description

  • Manage localization projects and related workstreams from initiation through delivery
  • Coordinate linguists, vendors, engineers, publishers, DTP specialists, quality teams, and other stakeholders
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, dependencies, milestones, and progress updates
  • Assign resources and resolve capacity, capability, and scheduling constraints
  • Act as the main operational contact for assigned projects
  • Assess delivery risks, create mitigation approaches, and escalate issues when needed
  • Apply localization workflows, client-specific procedures, system requirements, and quality controls
  • Track quality, organize reviews and corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Prepare estimates, quotes, purchase requests, and budget information while tracking financial performance
  • Work with translation management systems, workflow platforms, automation, AI-enabled processes, and related technologies
  • Support workflow updates, new services, process improvements, and technology enhancements
  • Handle routine project escalations and record resulting actions and decisions
  • Maintain project information, reports, documentation, forecasts, and operational records
  • Support customer satisfaction and the timely completion of client commitments
  • Partner with Account Management, Program Management, Sales, Solutions, Engineering, Vendor Management, and Quality teams
  • Find opportunities to increase delivery efficiency and improve processes
  • Help create documentation and process guidance while supporting onboarding and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience managing localization projects in language services or another complex global delivery environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several concurrent projects against quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting
  • Effective problem-solving ability and practical operational judgment
  • Clear communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and clients across cultures and time zones
  • Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of localization workflows, quality management, and project financial fundamentals
  • Comfort using project management platforms, reporting tools, and localization technology
  • Ownership, reliability, initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and develop
  • Experience supporting enterprise, strategic, or multi-service client accounts
  • Background managing complex localization workflows spanning multiple stakeholders, technologies, languages, or regions
  • Experience contributing to workflow optimization, automation, or operational efficiency initiatives
  • Experience with translation management systems such as MemoQ, Smartling, XTM, Plunet, or comparable platforms
  • Experience preparing client reports, delivery metrics, or performance analyses
  • Experience guiding, onboarding, or informally mentoring project management colleagues
  • Experience in regulated, technical, software, multimedia, or large-scale marketing localization
  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, or a comparable project management qualification is a plus
