Client Service Associate, Toronto (On-Site)

Support TD Wealth Financial Planners and clients with account administration, transactions, inquiries, and operational controls. Manage escalations, service standards, and process improvements in a full-time, on-site Toronto role.

Description

  • Handle Financial Planner and client inquiries with accuracy and promptness
  • Offer suitable options, resolve requests, and provide timely follow-up
  • Submit and track new-account, transfer, and other required documentation
  • Investigate, resolve, and follow up on issues raised by Financial Planners and clients
  • Supply documents and information needed by Financial Planners
  • Communicate updates, policy changes, and Daily News postings to Financial Planners
  • Process new accounts, account transfers, cash transfers, iForms, and other administrative or transactional requests
  • Develop effective working relationships with Financial Planners, clients, and operations teams
  • Support Financial Planners with their daily business activities
  • Oversee transactions, account maintenance, operational activities, and escalations
  • Help clients with inquiries, appointment scheduling, seasonal opportunities, and statement reviews
  • Support sales efforts by identifying net asset growth and revenue opportunities
  • Represent FPSS and TD as a brand champion
  • Organize workflow while upholding quality, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Maintain risk controls and escalate identified risks through the appropriate channels
  • Oversee daily operations, distribute workloads, and uphold service-level and productivity standards
  • Address escalated matters and refer issues outside the scope of expertise
  • Conduct quality reviews and verify completed work
  • Review and maintain procedures and documentation
  • Track service and productivity results and introduce process improvements
  • Identify operational concerns and support the rollout of process changes
  • Contribute to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, cross-training, and professional development
  • Provide team coverage along with training, coaching, and guidance
  • Keep stakeholders updated on project and activity progress
  • Help foster a fair, positive, equitable, and diverse workplace
  • Report to the Manager, Financial Planning Support

Requirements

  • A university or college diploma, or at least two years of industry experience
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completion is required
  • Complete the Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) within the first 90 days
  • Complete Wealth Management Essentials (WME) within 18 months
  • Specialized expertise across multiple complex tasks, systems, and jurisdictions
  • Expert knowledge of relevant products, processes, or systems
  • Advanced understanding of business-unit operations and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of TDGB and IIROC codes of conduct, securities laws, and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to collect and analyze data and resolve complex problems
  • Sound judgment when assessing process and policy risk
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contacts
