Chinese to Malay and Indonesian Automotive Translator
Provide freelance machine translation post-editing and proofreading for TransPerfect’s automotive and technical content. Work remotely with CAT tools and project quality checks.
Description
- Refine machine-translated content through post-editing to meet accuracy, fluency, consistency, terminology, and style guide standards.
- Proofread and conduct final quality checks for language, terminology, formatting, numbers, units, and delivery readiness.
- Use CAT tools and follow project quality assurance workflows.
- Translate and review automotive and technical content, including product and feature copy, technical documents and manual excerpts, after-sales and service information, and training materials.
- Support an ongoing freelance collaboration and handle urgent requests when needed.
Requirements
- Native-level Indonesian or Malay is preferred.
- Technical localization experience is required.
- Automotive localization experience is an advantage.
- Communicate effectively.
- Deliver work reliably and on time.
- Be able to handle urgent requests when needed.
- Complete a linguistic test covering translation, machine translation post-editing, and proofreading.
- Have experience with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat.
- Provide availability and time zone information when applying.
- Submit a CV and relevant automotive or technical experience when applying.
