Care Team Representative – Memphis, TN (Hybrid)

Support claims callers for Sedgwick’s insurance services through empathetic intake, customer education, accurate documentation, and issue resolution across multiple client accounts.

Description

  • Deliver empathetic service to callers about claims across multiple lines of business
  • Help move claims forward and record thorough notes for every call
  • Resolve issues through one-call ownership and route matters to the appropriate escalation channel when needed
  • Serve as the main contact for callers from multiple client accounts in a shared-services setting
  • Answer questions and troubleshoot claims applications and servicing processes
  • Complete claim intake and end-to-end customer support in line with regulatory, company, and client requirements
  • Explain claim documentation, filing and processing timelines, payment details, and claim status
  • Explain client requirements and benefit plans to claimants and callers
  • Enter spoken and written claim details accurately into the designated system
  • Route callers to the appropriate contacts or escalate cases to specialists or management
  • Work assigned scheduled hours
  • Handle additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • At least one year of customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required
  • Inbound call center experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PCs, Microsoft Office products, and the Windows environment
  • Ability to meet minimum typing requirements
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to support multiple clients across communication channels while using several systems at once
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
