Description

  • Own enterprise lifecycle strategy across Chicago Public Media’s brands, platforms, and audience interactions
  • Create frameworks and systems that improve retention, loyalty, participation, and long-term supporter value
  • Set lifecycle architecture, audience segments, performance objectives, and optimization priorities
  • Oversee onboarding, engagement, renewals, sustainer conversion, upgrades, reactivation, advocacy, and relationship growth
  • Build scalable lifecycle systems while identifying ways to reduce churn and increase supporter lifetime value
  • Define lifecycle KPIs, dashboards, reporting practices, and experimentation plans
  • Create models for retention, churn, and supporter lifetime value
  • Turn behavioral, transactional, and engagement data into audience strategies and actionable recommendations
  • Set strategies for engagement, loyalty, retention, revenue, and lifecycle messaging
  • Coordinate lifecycle strategy across Product, Marketing, Insights, Editorial, Development, Revenue Operations, and technology teams
  • Lead and develop members of the specialized Lifecycle & Retention team
  • Strengthen team capabilities and assess gaps in resources, technology, processes, and expertise

Requirements

  • Background leading lifecycle, retention, subscription, membership, CRM, loyalty, or audience relationship strategy
  • Capability to build lifecycle frameworks for varied audience segments, products, channels, or brands
  • Deep knowledge of retention strategy, cohort analysis, churn reduction, segmentation, and lifetime value optimization
  • Experience converting behavioral, transactional, and engagement data into audience strategies and organizational decisions
  • Experience defining KPIs, performance frameworks, experimentation programs, and optimization roadmaps
  • Track record leading complex cross-functional work across Product, Marketing, Insights, Development, Editorial, technology, or comparable teams
  • Ability to connect enterprise strategy and analytical insight with implementation through specialized teams
  • Experience developing personalization, loyalty, engagement, or member experience strategies
  • Strong people management, strategic communication, and organizational planning abilities
  • Ability to create new capabilities, systems, or operating models in addition to managing established programs
