Description

  • Own architecture, quality, and delivery for the Angular application and its APIs and services.
  • Set and uphold coding standards and development practices across mobile and full-stack work.
  • Promote an AI-first approach to engineering.
  • Shape technical roadmap decisions to support product goals, timelines, and the wider engineering organization.
  • Advise on architecture, design, testing, implementation, web interfaces, backend API contracts, and LLM integration patterns.
  • Lead thorough code reviews and investigate the root causes of serious production issues.
  • Manage web feature delivery from technical scoping through release and production monitoring.
  • Turn complex requirements into clear engineering tasks, milestones, and ownership across a distributed team.
  • Spot and reduce technical risks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes for both platforms.
  • Establish and maintain observability and logging practices across application layers.
  • Build and deploy solutions with attention to performance, security, and accessibility.
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team across the Americas and India.
  • Work with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams using Agile practices.
  • Lead organizational initiatives and improve engineering practices over time.
  • Support hiring by reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and assessing their skills.
  • Set clear expectations for employees and contractors.
  • Protect software quality with automated tests, alerting, and proactive production support.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of software development experience, including 5 or more years focused on full-stack development.
  • Experience with AI-first engineering and tools such as Claude and Copilot.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented design and sound architecture for user interfaces and APIs.
  • Proven full-stack skills, with the ability to own or collaborate on backend-for-frontend and API layers.
  • Extensive cross-browser and cross-platform development experience, including mobile and responsive interfaces.
  • Experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
  • Ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with strong personal accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; a meticulous, methodical approach; and the ability to turn complex business needs into straightforward software solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Agile methods, and open-source technologies.
  • Experience with LLM and AI-native development patterns, including integrating AI-powered features into consumer products.
  • Experience leading teams of five or more engineers across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and microservices.
  • Background in mobile accessibility, including WCAG and platform accessibility APIs.
  • Experience in fintech, consumer lending, or a similarly regulated industry.
