Business Operations Associate, Atlanta (Hybrid) — Aerovy

Aerovy is seeking a Business Operations Associate to oversee payroll, finance, compliance, vendors, operating dashboards, and process automation. The role supports audit readiness and recurring business operations for a company building digital infrastructure for intelligent hardware.

Description

  • Lead recurring operational, financial, and compliance processes from start to finish
  • Complete accurate month-end closes on schedule
  • Handle payroll, billing, accounts payable, expenses, and receipts using QuickBooks Online and Ramp
  • Reconcile transactions weekly and deliver a complete, timely package to the fractional controller
  • Maintain the compliance calendar, state registrations, payroll tax accounts, and required filings
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including access, device enrollment, and acknowledgments
  • Keep SOC 2 and ISO 27001 administrative evidence audit-ready in Vanta
  • Oversee external partners and vendors through diligence, documentation, payment setup, and renewals
  • Maintain contracts, corporate records, and company policies
  • Coordinate diligence activities and manage data rooms
  • Maintain the operating dashboard, compile metrics, and identify changes before weekly leadership reviews
  • Create or refine SOPs and automate suitable manual processes
  • Report to the Head of Finance and Business Operations while coordinating with the fractional controller, outside counsel, and compliance partner

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in business operations, accounting, or payroll operations; candidates from consulting, banking, or other analytical fields may also qualify if prepared to manage payroll, expenses, receipts, invoices, and compliance filings
  • Demonstrated ownership of recurring deadlines, including payroll, filings, and renewals, with consistent accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to catch transposed numbers, missing signatures, and failed filings
  • Hands-on experience automating recurring work, including through AI tools
  • Ability to streamline processes while preserving necessary controls
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Based in the Atlanta metropolitan area or willing to relocate
  • Preferred: bookkeeping or finance experience, including QuickBooks and accounts payable/receivable
  • Preferred: ability to build dashboards from multiple systems and explain meaningful changes
  • Preferred: familiarity with Ramp, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Vanta, Notion, and Navan
  • Preferred: experience working at a startup or small company
  • Authorized to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
