Account Manager, Oncology & Haematology – Australia Remote

Lead AbbVie’s oncology and haematology sales activity across Australia, with primary responsibility for haematology and a focus on solid tumours. Manage healthcare-provider relationships, territory execution, brand strategy, and customer-focused sales performance.

Description

  • Execute field-based oncology brand strategies and tactical plans
  • Deliver sales results while managing the assigned territory and target accounts
  • Build healthcare-provider relationships and address customer needs to support short- and long-term sales performance
  • Manage the haematology and oncology portfolio, with approximately 70% of activity focused on haematology and 30% on oncology, including solid tumours
  • Achieve sales, brand, financial, marketing, and other defined performance objectives
  • Create and implement call plans that optimise coverage and frequency for priority customers
  • Manage multiple brands and indications in accordance with strategic guidance
  • Complete pre-call and post-call analysis and evaluation
  • Address objections and secure clear calls to action during customer interactions
  • Develop knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical considerations, and sales activity
  • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams
  • Communicate AbbVie’s value proposition effectively to assigned healthcare providers
  • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates
  • Report adverse events within 24 hours
  • Participate in workplace health and safety programs and support a safe working environment
  • Follow internal codes of conduct and compliance procedures
  • Complete ad hoc administrative responsibilities

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent qualifications may be considered
  • Proven specialty-sales experience, ideally in oncology, haematology, solid tumours, or urology
  • Adaptable and agile approach to selling a product portfolio
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
  • Strong commercial judgement and proficient use of business tools
  • Strategic and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively across functions with MSLs and the medical team
  • Ability to recognise customer styles and behaviours and adapt the selling approach
  • Ability to develop sales strategies from customer and market findings
  • Ability to propose innovative ideas and practical solutions
  • Ability to work effectively within a shared territory
