- Assist patients with payments, billing questions, insurance verification, and claims.
- Take phone payments in line with financial responsibility policies.
- Set up and maintain patient payment plans.
- Keep transactions, records, and data accurate.
- Explain claim notes, account balances, and billing outcomes.
- Review and update insurance records.
- Enter insurance details in the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims.
- Explain coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, filing deadlines, and claim denials.
- Spot billing discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve them.
- Review account histories to identify the cause of billing or payment concerns.
- Recommend policy-aligned solutions and next steps.
- Work across billing systems, EMR platforms, and other tools and reference materials.
- Follow documentation, privacy, security, and HIPAA requirements.
- Be available and adhere to the schedule during assigned hours.
- Complete required client training and take part in further and cross-training.
- Deliver professional, accountable, empathetic, patient-focused service.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Customer service or call center experience is required.
- Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience is strongly preferred.
- Payment processing or financial transaction experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Comfort using EMR systems and standard computer applications.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Background check required as permitted by applicable laws.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance concepts.
- Ability to explain complex billing details in language patients can understand.
- Comfort using multiple systems and tools at the same time.
- Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative work style.
- Availability for assigned shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
