Opis

  • Assist patients with payments, billing questions, insurance verification, and claims.
  • Take phone payments in line with financial responsibility policies.
  • Set up and maintain patient payment plans.
  • Keep transactions, records, and data accurate.
  • Explain claim notes, account balances, and billing outcomes.
  • Review and update insurance records.
  • Enter insurance details in the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims.
  • Explain coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, filing deadlines, and claim denials.
  • Spot billing discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve them.
  • Review account histories to identify the cause of billing or payment concerns.
  • Recommend policy-aligned solutions and next steps.
  • Work across billing systems, EMR platforms, and other tools and reference materials.
  • Follow documentation, privacy, security, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Be available and adhere to the schedule during assigned hours.
  • Complete required client training and take part in further and cross-training.
  • Deliver professional, accountable, empathetic, patient-focused service.

Zahteve

  • Customer service or call center experience is required.
  • Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience is strongly preferred.
  • Payment processing or financial transaction experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Comfort using EMR systems and standard computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Background check required as permitted by applicable laws.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance concepts.
  • Ability to explain complex billing details in language patients can understand.
  • Comfort using multiple systems and tools at the same time.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative work style.
  • Availability for assigned shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
