  • Manage complex billing and contract cases for Mid-Market and Commercial accounts through confirmed resolution.
  • Explain billing issues clearly to customers, including those with delinquent or suspended accounts.
  • Reconstruct billing-error timelines using contracts, order forms, ownership changes, reprocessing, and invoices.
  • Determine whether issues stem from Samsara errors, concessions, returns, reprocessing, or contract amendments.
  • Coordinate Billing Support, Order-to-Cash, Sales Ops, Deal Desk, Finance, and Legal to complete fixes.
  • Assess and prepare concession requests with root-cause summaries, recommendations, risk assessments, approvals, and credit confirmation.
  • Review cancellation, return, and ETF exceptions, validate eligibility, and process approved outcomes.
  • Record and route billing, concession, and cancellation requests received through Slack, email, or Gainsight.
  • Guide CSMs and AEs in submitting complete requests.
  • Classify root causes, surface systemic failures, and share monthly reports.
  • Continue billing improvement initiatives with Support, Finance, and Product.
  • Flag billing issues that put renewals at risk.
  • Promote and put Samsara’s operating principles into practice.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • At least 4 years of experience in billing operations, order-to-cash, revenue operations, deal desk, contracts, or a similar finance and operations role.
  • Strong prioritization skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong investigative skills across CRM, billing, and contract systems.
  • Sound financial judgment when evaluating credits, concessions, reprocessing, and refunds.
  • Customer-facing communication skills and the ability to write concise summaries.
  • Ability to drive results across teams without direct authority and meet approval-process deadlines.
  • Familiarity with order forms, amendments, contract terms, and how they flow into billing.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and limited precedent.
  • Rigorous case management skills.
  • Diplomacy, tact, and composure under pressure.
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite or an equivalent ERP, and CPQ tools.
  • Experience with Zendesk, Gainsight, and Sweethawk.
  • Experience handling escalated or high-value billing disputes.
  • Background in Customer Success, Support, or account management, including customer-facing financial or contract work.
  • Experience building or improving billing-dispute processes.
  • Exposure to subscription or hardware-plus-subscription billing.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
