- Review complete AML investigations across cases of varying complexity for quality and compliance.
- Examine cases involving suspected money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions breaches, and other financial crime risks.
- Verify that investigative conclusions are supported by sufficient evidence and satisfy regulatory and internal standards.
- Assess whether investigators applied reasonable grounds to suspect (RGS) appropriately.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer relationships and relevant risk factors.
- Evaluate investigative narratives, supporting records, disposition decisions, and SAR recommendations.
- Detect investigative gaps, process weaknesses, recurring errors, and quality trends, then provide actionable feedback.
- Use AML case management and transaction monitoring systems to document, manage, assess, and resolve cases.
- Draft or review Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyze transaction, customer, and behavioral data to detect suspicious activity and emerging financial crime patterns.
- Collaborate with investigators, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to strengthen investigative quality and consistency.
- Contribute to improvements in AML investigation procedures, quality standards, and controls.
- Maintain alignment between investigations, QC reviews, AML policies, procedures, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Professional experience in AML quality control or financial crime compliance.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime typologies, red flags, and related risks.
- Hands-on experience conducting quality control reviews of AML investigations.
- Proficiency with an AML case management or transaction monitoring platform, such as Actimize, Oracle, SAS, Verafin, or a comparable system.
- Thorough understanding of AML compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations, and investigative standards.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, or submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Ability to interpret complex transaction and behavioral data.
- Strong knowledge of customer and account risk factors, including sanctions, fraud, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, and insider threats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accurate, consistent, and compliant work.
